Youth Fitness
Physical activity is critical to our children’s health and well-being. Studies show that physical activity not only helps kids stay active and healthy, but it can enhance important skills like concentration and problem solving, which can improve academic performance. This is a voluntary program that offers educators free access to a health-related assessment for youth fitness, professional development for meaningful implementation, and motivational recognition to empower students to adopt and maintain an active lifestyle.

Veteran Program
Assists Veterans from all over the U.S. with starting their healing process and maintaining their mental and physical health through fitness and nutrition programs and a peer support network. Provide sports and running to veterans free of cost. Offers sport programs in military hospitals and communities across the U.S. through a nationwide network of community-based chapters. participants, coaching, court time, balls, training equipment, and racquets for use.

Healthy Lifestyle Program
The program modernized fitness education in school physical education classrooms by emphasizing student health, goal setting, and personal progress. Our goal is to provide students and schools free access to high quality resources and tools to promote physical activity to support both physical and mental health.

Technology Program
WP is committed to closing the technology gap many Youth and Veterans and lower income families face as social services, educational programs, and employment agencies move to exclusively digital platforms. Access to technology is crucial to keep connected to a myriad of vital resources such as school activities and applying for Veterans Administration (VA) benefits. Through generous donations and corporate sponsors, provides refurbished computers and technical support to individuals in need of technology for little or no cost.

Stem Education
WP is committed to improving educational outcomes, and college readiness in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) for all students. Our knowledge of math, science, computer science, and technology is our greatest natural resource, the ultimate equalizer, and the pathway to human rights and a better quality of life. The data on the achievement gap between students of low and high-income backgrounds highlights the need of leveling the playing field in math and science classrooms. Our foundation empowers students with the tools and skillsets to compete in the global economy.

Back To School Drive Program
The Back-to-School drive was launched with the goal of closing the educational gap for in-need K-12 students. New backpacks, full of essential, grade-appropriate school supplies, are collected and delivered to DMV Area students through partner schools and agencies, but we still need to do more. Our Back-to-School program aims to level the playing field while also relieving the financial burden for parents. With summer just around the corner, children are excited to finish up the school year and have adventures. But at Family Giving Tree, we’re already thinking about the new school year!
